Need help with your Carpet Beetle infestation? Pest Products Online offers an effective solution to killing carpet beetles.
These insects can be easily identified by the irregular pattern of white, brown, and dark yellow scales on its wing covers. In older adults, the color pattern wears off, leaving the beetle solid brown or black in color.

Habitat

Often, you can find adult indoors at windows; however, the eggs are laid in dark, secluded areas where larvae can feed and go undetected. The larvae often wander about the infested location, from room to room, spreading the infestation throughout the house. In this case, killing carpet beetles can be somewhat challenging.

Health Risks

Carpet Beetles infestations can be in cereals, stored grains, nuts, meal, and similar type food products.

Property Damage
The larvae can feed on wool carpets, rugs, silk, furs, hides, leather, hair, feathers, stuffed animals, and dried plant products. They will feed on fabrics soiled with juice or food, including carpet, linen, clothing, and upholstered furniture.

Prevention

Clean rugs, carpet, draperies, and upholstered furniture regularly. Vacuum frequently to remove food sources and to rid the area of the beetles, their eggs, and larvae. After vacuuming infested areas, dispose of the bag immediately. Protect fabrics by keeping them clean of food and perspiration will help prevent carpet beetle infestation in your home.
