These insects usually live in moist areas or where they have access to water. They prefer warm temperatures and dark places such as basements, sewers, and crawl spaces under homes or porches. Often, they live outside during warm summer months and move into structures during colder seasons.

They can contaminate food with bacterial diseases that result in food poisoning and dysentery or diarrhea. Some people are allergic to roaches. Also, some research shows they can cause childhood asthma. When your home is infested, we provide you with the best way to kill cockroaches.
Property Damage
The American cockroach can foul food, damage wallpaper, books, clothing, and can produce an unpleasant odor.
Prevention
Seal cracks in foundations, around doors and windows, and along water, gas, and electric lines entering your home. Clean up spilled food and liquid and avoid leaving scraps of food or unwashed dishes in the sink or on counter tops. Sweep and vacuum floors often. Avoid leaving pet food out. Keep food in tightly sealed containers.
