Bedbugs

Bedbugs are small, nocturnal bugs that hide in cracks and crevices during the day and come out at night to feed on the blood of unsuspecting humans. The blood meal usually takes between 3 to 10 minutes and usually goes unnoticed by the victim.

Control can be achieved by using a vacuum cleaner to remove some of the bugs. Apply a residual pesticide such as Cyonara 9.7 (A0235) to cracks and crevices, behind baseboards and into other suspected harborages. You can apply a special spray called Rest Easy Bed Bug Spray (A0256) directly to the bedding. Dust can be effective in wall voids like Drione Dust (A0123). Blacklegged Deer Tick

The Blacklegged Deer Tick can spread Lyme disease; causing flu-like chills, fever, headache, dizziness, fatigue, joint pain, and a stiff neck.   This is one of the stinging insects that can cause serious health problems if bitten. The Blacklegged Deer Tick commonly affect Deer Mice so rodent control should be included to control Blacklegged Deer Ticks.

Control can be achieved by using a good residual spray like Dragnet SFR (A0023).

Bumble Bee

Bumble bees can be docile while foraging on flowers, but it will become aggressive and will chase you if you disturb it's nest. It can sting many times and the sting can be very painful. Bumble bees are considered beneficial and should be left alone. But you can do something about them should they become real pest.

Control can be achieved by waiting till dusk when Bumble Bees return to their nest to rest, then apply Demon Max EC (A0136) or Cynoff EC (A0087) on and around their nest.

Carpenter Bees

Carpenter Bees become active in the spring and can inflict a painful sting; but often, it's the damage Carpenter Bees cause to your home that is the most painful.

Control can be achieved by treating their nest directly with Drione Dust (A0123) and treat decks, overhangs, siding and fence posts with Tengard SFR (A0020). Save when you purchase our Carpenter Ant Kit #2 (A0186) which contains both products.

Honeybees

Honeybees sting only once, but the sting can be painful and the effected area can become red and swollen.

Control can be achieved by removal by a professional beekeeper who can remove the Honeybee colony safely without harming the bees. If it becomes necessary to kill the colony apply a good residual insecticide dust like Drione Dust (A0123) or wetable powder such as Demon WP (A0081) around the entrance to the colony.

Mosquitoes
Mosquitoes bite and nobody likes to sit outside and get bit over and over. Plus mosquitoes can spread diseases such as malaria, yellow fever, dengue fever, and the West Nile Virus.

Control can be achieved by eliminating the water source they breed in if possible. Old tires hold water, water barrels, bird baths, etc. You can float some B.t.i. Briquets Mosquito Dunks (A0079) on the water or spray in the absence of standing water with Precor IGR Concentrate (A0140).
