Description
LOADING AND OPERATING
1. Remove the reservoir end cap or break the snip-tip off the Maxforce gel bait reservoir.
2. Insert the gel reservoir into the rear chamber of the Piecemaker and gently screw the reservoir (clockwise) until firm. Do not over-tighten!
3. Install a dispensing tip on the muzzle by turning the tip clockwise.
4. Prime the vacuum assembly by applying light pressure with a gloved finger or blunt object to the reservoir seal while squeezing the trigger repeatedly until gel begins to dispense. (Note: Repeat this procedure if vacuum pressure is lost due to an air pocket in the gel reservoir).
5. To adjust gel volume: squeeze the trigger, depress the control knob, and slide to the desired setting. The amount of gel applied per trigger pull ranges from .04 grams (setting 1) to .25 grams (setting 5). The “L” setting locks the trigger.
Sharpshooter (optional) - This enables you to apply gel in hard-to-reach places. Screw the Sharpshooter onto the muzzle, then screw a dispensing tip onto the front of the Sharpshooter. A new Sharpshooter must be filled with bait before it will dispense gel. Note: It is important to seal both ends of the Sharpshooter after each use to prevent gel in the Sharpshooter from drying out.
